How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Controls & Instrumentation Technician (65 Days Off)

    £42,000-£45,000 + 65 Paid Days Off + Training + 12% Pension + Private Medical Insurance + Benefits

    Are you a Controls and Instrumentation Technician from a manufacturing, chemical, waste or similar background looking to join a thriving company, where you will be integral for the testing and safety of large processing machinery, offering 65 paid days off per year?

    In this role you will be responsible for performing safety instrumentation tests on control valves and level pressure systems, proof testing, inspections of substations as well as commercial electrical testing and installations. This is a 60/40 split between planned and reactive maintenance, working 1 in 5 weekends, with a subsequent week off after.

    Founded over 5 decades ago, this company create chemical stabilisers and synthesisers, as well as lubricants, heat stabilisers and plasticizers, which they supply to a variety of global industries. This company are rapidly expanding and need an experienced Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to be at the forefront of this growth.

    This role would suit a Controls and Instrumentation Technician looking to join a well-respected manufacturer, where you will be important for its continued safety, offering a generous amount of paid time off per year.

    The Role:

    Performing safety instrumentation tests on level pressure systems and control valves
    Proof testing of components such as temperature controls and motors
    Commercial electrical testing, maintenance and installation
    Inspections and repairs of substations
