How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Pastoral Lead (SEND Focus)
    September 2026

    About Us:
    South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has over 550 teaching and support staff working in the four schools (Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy and Cowley Academy) that make up our highly successful Trust.

    South Lincolnshire Academies Trust is seeking to appoint exceptional Pastoral Leads (SEND Focus) to provide highly effective, relational, day‑to‑day pastoral support for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities, with a position available in each of our four schools.

    This is a non‑teaching role, working closely with the SEN Manager and Pastoral teams to ensure students with additional needs are safe, supported, included and able to thrive both academically and socially.

    Working as an integral part of the Pastoral team, the role will include:

    * Providing targeted pastoral support to students with SEND, including those with EHCPs and those receiving SEN Support;

    * Coordinating and delivering early help, mentoring and intervention strategies such as emotional regulation, anxiety support and social communication support.

    * Liaising with parents/cares and external professional to help coordinate multi agency support;

    * Support attendance, punctuality, engagement and reintegration following absence, suspension, or placement changes.

    The successful candidate will:

    * Be calm, resilient and solution- focused;

    * Have significant experience supporting young people, ideally within a secondary school or comparable setting;

    * Have a strong understanding of SEND, child development and barriers to learning;

    * Be a confident communicator, able to work with students, families and outside agencies professionally and sensitively;
