How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Development Engineer
    £40,000 - £45,000 + Progression + Training + 33 Days Holiday + Excellent Benefits
    Newbury, Berkshire (Commutable from Basingstoke, Swindon, Oxford, Abingdon, Andover, Reading and Surrounding Areas)

    Are you from a Product Development background, looking to join an international market leader who will invest in your career with on-the-job training and career progression?

    On offer is a fantastic opportunity to work for an established company where you will get to lead on technical projects from cradle to grave, whilst receiving ongoing support to develop and progress your career.

    The company are a pioneer within the product design / manufacturing space and are considered at the forefront of their industry. You'll be joining them at an excellent time as they look to expand their successful team.

    In this varied role, you will play a key role in product development, taking innovative consumer products from concept to production. You will support the design of accessories and electromechanical systems, collaborate on prototyping and testing, and work cross-functionally to support NPI and product documentation.

    This role would suit someone from a Product Development background, looking for a highly technical role with specialist training and long-term career progression.

    The Role:
    - Support the design & development of bespoke electromechanical products
    - Work on projects from concept through to completion
    - Mon - Fri (8.30am - 5pm)

    The Person:
    - Product design/development background
    - 3D CAD Experience
    - Background designing products for consumers
    - Commutable to Newbury
