We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused Optical Assistant to join our busy and welcoming practice in Hadleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in retail, healthcare, or optics who enjoys helping people and thrives in a patient-focused environment.
As an Optical Assistant, you will support patients throughout their journey, from booking appointments and carrying out pre-screening tests to helping customers choose frames and lenses that suit their needs and lifestyle. You will work closely with the clinical team to ensure every patient receives an excellent standard of care and service.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming patients and managing appointments
* Assisting customers with frame and lens selection
* Carrying out basic pre-screening tests before eye examinations
* Supporting dispensing and fitting of spectacles
* Processing orders, payments, and NHS paperwork
* Maintaining accurate patient records
* Providing excellent customer service and aftercare support
* Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised, and professional

Desirable Experience
