We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lift Supervisor (M&E Operative) to join a major National Grid substation project based at Melksham.
This is a long-term contract opportunity working on a live energy infrastructure project, ideal for candidates with previous National Grid substation experience and the correct authorisations already in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising and coordinating lifting operations on site in line with project requirements
Ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
Liaising with site management, crane teams, and operatives to coordinate planned lifts
Monitoring compliance with lifting plans, RAMS, and health & safety procedures
Supporting wider M&E site operations where required
Maintaining strict adherence to National Grid safety standards and permit systemsEssential Requirements:
National Grid Person (NG Person) - Mandatory
Lift Supervisor qualification/certification
Manual Handling
Previous experience working on National Grid substations or similar live utility infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of health & safety procedures within high-risk environments
Ability to start promptly and commit to the full contract durationImportant:
