How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take your career to the next level?

    Our client, a leading player in the Manufacturing & Production industry, is on the hunt for a dedicated individual to join their team on a permanent basis.

    What You'll Do:
    As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes, machinery, tools, and the overall site. Your responsibilities will include:

    Daily Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on Pneumatic, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems according to a monthly schedule.
    Rapid Response: Quickly address machinery breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective rectification measures.
    Documentation: Capture and record all maintenance activities, ensuring accurate tracking of work completed.
    Tooling Management: Identify underperforming tools and develop improvement plans, including justifications for capital replacements.
    Stock Management: Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
    Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager and liaise with external contractors when necessary.
    Training: Attend relevant training courses to enhance your skills related to machinery and processes.

    What You'll Bring:
    To be successful in this role, you should possess:

    Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, including expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
    Strong knowledge of gearboxes, pumps, valves, chillers, compressors, motors, bearings, and presses.
    Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    Experience with PLC systems and the ability to interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic circuit diagrams, and engineering drawings.
    MIG welding skills and a computer-literate background.
    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    An ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.

    Position Details:

    Contract Type: Permanent
    Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:00
