How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role
    We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Planner to support the successful delivery of a major construction programme. You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the site and commercial teams with programme‑driven decision‑making.
    This role suits someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to planning, coordination, and risk management. With expereince worrking on tier 1 large scale construction developments.
    Key Responsibilities
    *
    Develop detailed project programmes using Asta Powerproject / Primavera P6.
    *
    Monitor progress, update schedules, and report on key milestones.
    *
    Work closely with project managers, site teams, and commercial leads to ensure programme alignment.
    *
    Identify delays, risks, and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies.
    *
    Produce short‑term lookahead programmes and progress reports.
    *
    Support tender programmes and pre‑construction planning.
    *
    Attend progress meetings and present programme updates to stakeholders.
    *
    Ensure compliance with project timelines, sequencing, and critical path requirements.
    Requirements
    *
    Proven experience as a Project Planner within construction.
    *
    Strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6.
    *
    Understanding of construction sequencing across, commercial and civils projects.
    *
    Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
    *
    Ability to work collaboratively with site, commercial, and design teams.
    *
    Strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving approach.
    *
    Commutable to the Swindon area
