How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Intermediate / Project Quantity Surveyor

    Residential Developer | London

While many residential developers are slowing production and reducing headcount, this London developer is doing the opposite.

With a strong pipeline of phased residential developments already secured, the business is continuing to invest heavily in both projects and people, growing their commercial team and positioning themselves to capitalise on the market while others retract.

They are now looking to appoint an ambitious Intermediate / Project Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a major multi-phased development in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone around 4–5 years into their career who is looking to step into a long-term role with genuine progression, stability, and exposure to large-scale residential delivery.

    Why This Role Stands Out

    * Join a developer actively growing in the current market

    * Long-term phased development offering real project continuity

    * Opportunity to work closely with experienced commercial leadership

    * Clear progression path towards Senior Quantity Surveyor

    * Strong financial backing and secured pipeline of work

    * Excellent exposure across procurement, delivery, and commercial management

    * Collaborative and supportive team culture

    The Role

    * Supporting the commercial management of a major residential development

    * Managing subcontractor procurement and package management

    * Assisting with valuations, variations, and cost reporting

    * Monitoring budgets and forecasting project spend

    * Working closely with site and technical teams throughout delivery

    * Supporting monthly CVRs and financial reporting

    * Assisting in driving commercial performance across the scheme

    Requirements

    * 4–5 years’ experience within Quantity Surveying

    * Residential experience with a developer or main contractor preferred

    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction discipline

    * Strong communication and organisational skills

    * Ambitious and career-driven mindset

    * Ability to work within a fast-paced project environment

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developer with momentum, ambition, and a genuine long-term growth strategy at a time when many competitors are scaling back.
