We are seeking a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher to join a dedicated secondary SEMH school in Bolton from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist setting, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve both academically and personally.
The Role:
Full-time Maths Teacher position
Teaching Maths across Key Stages within a secondary SEMH setting
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Supporting pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours
Working closely with support staff, parents and external professionals
Creating a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or within alternative provision is desirable
A patient, flexible and nurturing approach
A genuine commitment to helping young people overcome barriers to learning
