Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Head of Childcare Services to lead high-quality early years provision across maintained nurseries within the borough.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving standards, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage childcare provision across multiple nursery settings
Ensure high-quality delivery of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Oversee Ofsted readiness, safeguarding, and child protection
Drive service improvement, planning, and performance management
Lead, develop, and support multidisciplinary staff teams
Manage budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders
About You:
Strong leadership experience within Early Years / childcare services
In-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding frameworks
Experience within a local authority or public sector setting
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and service delivery
