How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a junior engineer with some experience in tendering & proposals looking for a role with extensive technical progression, or an engineer with experience in the service & maintenance of rotating equipment looking to move in to a tendering/proposals role with a fantastic company who are passionate about upskilling their employees?

    In this role you will be responsible for the specification and tendering of components, equipment and projects in support of a spares and service business. You will provide tendering support through from initial enquiry to contract handover & will develop and submit detailed proposals whilst ensuring they are delivered in a high quality, timely fashion in order to meet customer needs, scope & deadlines & company costs & profits. There is extensive technical progression on offer, which will see the size & scope of projects you will manage significantly increase with time.

    The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background in rotating equipment & will have previous experience in a Tendering or Proposals role, with strong relationship building, negotiation & collaboration skills. However, due to the extensive training & development on offer, more junior candidates or candidates from a rotating equipment background looking to move into this role may also be considered.

    The Role:

    Provide a customer-focused service that delivers proposals in a timely and efficient manner
    Review and evaluate detailed technical specifications to extract applicable client requirements
    Establish and maintain regular communication with key clients, including, where necessary site visits

    The person:

    Previous experience working as a Tendering or Proposals Engineer or be looking to move into this role
    Previous experience in the rotating machinery / equipment product/service field is desirable (pumps, valves, turbines etc)
