How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support Workers in Oxshott, KT22. Join a small, friendly home-based team supporting Lily, a bright and engaging 5-year-old with complex medical needs. Up to £21.00 gross per hour.
    • Nearest Station: Oxshott – 5-minute walk from the family home
    • Salary/Wage: Day shifts: £18.00 weekdays / £20.00 weekends. Waking nights: £20.00 weekdays / £21.00 weekends
    • Driving Requirements: Strongly preferred
    • Essential: Professional childcare experience. Confident to supporting a young girl with physical disabilities and using equipment such as hoists (training provided).
    • Desirable: Supporting children with additional or complex needs; suctioning, chest physio, PEG feeding, epilepsy, dystonia, postural management, medication administration, and AAC/Eye Gaze communication
    • Start Date: August 2026, with interviews and shadow shifts in June and July
    • Days & Hours: We are seeking at least 2 Support Workers to cover a mixture of shifts: Wednesday and Thursday: 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Saturday, waking night 8.00 pm to 8.00 am. Additional ad hoc shifts available. Please advise your availability when applying.

    About the Child: Lily, 5, is a determined and affectionate little girl with a great sense of humour. She loves cuddles, bubbles, swimming, bathtime, switch toys and interaction with the people around her. Lily communicates through Eye Gaze, vocalisations, facial expressions and body language. She has cerebral palsy with dystonia, epilepsy, PEG feeding requirements, respiratory vulnerabilities, and visual and hearing impairments.
    The Role at a Glance: This hands-on role focuses on supporting Lily’s therapies, rehabilitation and daily care while ensuring she enjoys fun, engaging activities. Duties include personal care, PEG feeds, medication administration, stretches, communication support and respiratory care. Waking nights involve observation, repositioning and respiratory support to keep Lily safe and comfortable. You’ll work closely with her parents, support team and therapists. We are seeking at least 2 Support Workers to cover a mixture of shifts: Wednesday and Thursday: 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Saturday waking night 8.00 pm to 8.00 am. Additional ad hoc shifts available. Please advise your availability when applying. The role will start in August as the family will be travelling for Lily’s therapy, but interviews and shadow shifts will be conducted in June and July.
    This Job Would Suit: A support worker who is proactive, dynamic, warm and fun who enjoys working closely with families and making a genuine difference. You’ll be comfortable working alongside hands-on parents, eager to learn and motivated to support Lily’s ongoing development.
