How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About The Role

    * Salary: £37,878 - £44,432 plus up to 10% bonus, company car or allowance (up to £7,356.10), 5% employer pension, 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.

    * The role involves travel across the Central and South East (Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Ruislip, Bracknell).

    * Working pattern: Any 5 from 6 (Mon–Sat), with up to 12 Saturdays per year. (This is a contractual requirement of the role)

    What will I be doing?

    * Working with the Health, Safety & Transport Training Manager, ensuring that the training content, course material and course delivery are of a high standard.

    * Arrange and deliver practical and engaging health, safety & transport training.

    * Build strong and positive relationship with key stakeholders to ensure full participation and attendance to all training course to raise the safety standards within SUEZ R&R.

    * Provide & maintain training data

    * Assist in the analysis of performance data (including incidents) to identify improvements to existing learning approaches and packages.

    * Maintaining a professional qualification to deliver Health, Safety and Transport training, and ensure that all training and assessments comply with relevant statutory regulations and internally set guidelines and standards.

    * Input into the regular review of policies and procedures which relate to health, safety and transport.

    * Review of new technological or digital approaches by the business to determine any adaption to the training needs.

    What are the requirements?

    * DVLA Cat C Licence (min. 3 years) and in‑date Driver CPC.

    * Ideally LGV instructional/assessor experience.

    * Willingness to travel regionally (and occasionally nationally), including overnight stays.

    * IOSH Managing Safely (working towards NEBOSH General Certificate).

    * PTTLS/NVQ Level 3 in education and training (or working towards).

    * First Aid certificate (or working towards).

    * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels.

    * Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to plan and deliver lessons independently.

    * IT literacy (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).

    * Understanding of relevant legislation, ACoPs and industry guidance.

    * Candidates with experience in either Transport or Health & Safety are encouraged to apply, we can train you in the other area.
