They are now looking to recruit a skilled and passionate Chef to join the team on a permanent, full-time 52-week contract.
The Role
As the Chef, you’ll play a key role within a busy and professional kitchen, preparing fresh food from scratch across all sections including hot kitchen, pastry, larder, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.
You’ll be confident running a kitchen shift independently, catering for approximately 80 covers per day while maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and service.
This is a varied role, also offering the opportunity to support hospitality and event catering, including functions, afternoon teas, receptions, school events and special occasions.
You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and wider catering team within a well-organised and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare fresh, high-quality meals for pupils and staff
* Work across all kitchen sections including pastry, sauce, larder, and hot service
* Produce fresh cakes, traybakes, biscuits, desserts, and bakery items
* Run kitchen shifts independently
* Support hospitality, events, and function catering
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Ensure compliance with HACCP and allergen procedures
* Assist with food prep, service, cleaning, and kitchen records
About You
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef who enjoys cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard.
You will ideally have:
* Strong all-round cooking skills across multiple kitchen sections includig pastry
* Experience at chef de partie or sous chef level producing fresh food in volume
* Confident running a kitchen shift independently
* Previous experience within an independent school, education, contract catering, hotel, or events environment
* Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management, and HACCP compliance
* A positive, organised, and team-focused approach
