How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title:** NG Persons Authorised Wireman

    **Location:** Necton, NR19

    **Pay Rate:** £28ph Mon - Fri, £30 Sat, £32 Sun.

    This project is on an 11 day rotation, you will be working 11 days on, 3 days off.

    **Hours:** 10hr weekdays, 8hr weekends

    **Duration:** 6 months

    Overview

    Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking skilled and motivated National Grid Authorised Wireman to join our team. You’ll be supporting a panel works on a Substation project in Necton, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    · Valid and up-to-date documentation – including CSCS/Safety Passport, National Grid Persons, and JIB.

    · Proven substation experience – previous work on National Grid or DNO sites is preferred.

    · Verifiable references – able to provide evidence of experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry.

    We’re Looking for Individuals Who:

    · Show excellent attention to detail – ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times.

    · Work effectively as part of a team – collaborating with multi-discipline site crews.

    · Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills – adapting confidently to changing site conditions.

    Desirable Additional Qualifications

    Having any of the following would be an advantage:

    · IPAF (MEWP)

    · Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)

    · PASMA

    · First Aid

    · Manual Handling

    · Abrasive Wheels

    · Other relevant industry-related courses
