How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Health and Safety Manager

    £40,000 - £45,000 + Great Training + Progression + Autonomy + Car Allowance + 25 Days (plus bank)

    Home Based - covering Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Northampton, Oxford, Peterborough, Cambridge, Luton, and surrounding areas

    On offer is the opportunity for an autonomous role where you will get the freedom to put your stamp on the role while being supported with additional training to thrive in this career, helping you to become the go-to person for all things Health and Safety.

    This company are an international organisation who are part of a wider group. They manufacture and supply a range of products to commercial clients, and are now looking to further their team with a motivated health and safety professional.

    On offer is a highly autonomous home based role covering areas in the Midlands and South East, where you will be tasked with leading a positive health and safety culture across a number of sites, liaising with on site representatives and carrying out audits, to ensure Health and Safety is not only compliant but also a key part of the culture.

    This role would suit someone who holds a NEBOSH or similar certificate, alongside having Health and Safety leadership experience, such as HSE Manager, Health and Safety Lead, professional, or similar attributions. You must also hold a valid UK driver's license and be available to travel to sites.

    The Role:

    Monday - Friday, 40 hours
    Instilling Health and Safety culture
    Site audits
    Ensuring compliance and up to date procedures
    The Person:

    NEBOSH or equivalent
    Health and Safety background
    Experience with audits, leading processes etc
    Full UK Driver's license
