How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Automotive Parts Sales Advisor (Land Rover & Commercial Vehicles) – PSS has recently expanded its Land Rover product range significantly, including steering boxes, steering pumps, differentials, gearboxes, and transfer cases.  They are now seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Automotive Parts Sales Advisor to join their experienced engineering-led Parts Team on a full-time, permanent basis in North Walsham, Norfolk.

    What we offer:

Competitive Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per year (depending on experience)
Holiday: 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
Additional: Full training provided, career progression opportunities, supportive team environment, and the opportunity to join a respected and growing company with over 50 years of industry expertise

    About the role:

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Automotive Parts Sales Advisor to support customers across the expanding Land Rover product range alongside our established truck, bus, commercial vehicle, and automotive aftermarket sectors. You will play a key role in supporting customers, processing enquiries and orders, identifying vehicle parts and assisting with the smooth running of the engineering-led Parts Department. This is a varied office-based role offering long-term stability and development within a well-established engineering business. Working hours for this role are 39 per week, Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:30am–4:00pm with no weekend working and an early Friday finish.

    Main duties and responsibilities:

Handle customer enquiries via phone and email in a professional and efficient manner
Identify vehicle parts using internal systems and specialist parts lookup software
Promote and sell PSS products to new and existing customers
Process incoming core and repair units accurately
Prepare shipping paperwork and dispatch documentation
Liaise with transport companies regarding deliveries and collections
Support packing and dispatch operations when required
Assist with the day-to-day running of the Parts Department

    About you:

As an Automotive Parts Sales Advisor, you will have strong communication and customer service skills with a confident telephone manner and excellent attention to detail. You will be comfortable using computer systems and enjoy working as part of a team within a thriving workplace. Experience within automotive remanufacturing, engineering, an automotive parts department, motor factor, commercial vehicle environment, or automotive aftermarket business would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate. Any technical knowledge relating to steering, drivetrain, hydraulic, or mechanical systems would also be beneficial but is not essential.

You will be positive, willing to learn, and motivated to build a long-term career within the automotive aftermarket industry.

    Why PSS:

Established in 1971, PSS is a leading UK remanufacturer supplying steering, drivetrain, hydraulic, and mechanical components to customers across the UK and worldwide. Serving aftermarket distributors, workshops, fleet operators, and specialist vehicle businesses, PSS has built a strong reputation for quality, expertise, and customer service over more than 50 years in the industry.
