How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interim Risk Manager (6‑Month Contract) | Local Authority
    2 Days/Week Onsite | London

    Are you an experienced Risk Manager ready to step into a high-impact role shaping strategy and strengthening governance?

    We're supporting a Local Authority to appoint an interim Risk Manager on a minimum 6‑month assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence senior leadership, drive enterprise risk strategy, and embed best practice across a complex organisation.

    The Role
    You'll lead and develop the organisation's risk management strategy, working closely with senior leaders to ensure risks are proactively identified, assessed, and managed.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Driving and embedding an enterprise risk management framework (ERM)
    Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and leadership teams
    Leading risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and reporting Supporting governance through collaboration with internal audit, finance, and compliance teams
    Horizon scanning to anticipate emerging risks across political, regulatory, and economic landscapes
    Championing continuous improvement and service transformation
    About You
    We're looking for someone who brings:

    Strong experience in strategic risk management (ideally public sector / local government)
    Expertise in governance, audit, and financial/regulatory frameworks
    Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers
    Experience leading risk frameworks, transformation, or organisational change
    A proactive, advisory mindset with excellent communication skills
    Relevant qualifications (e.g. IRM) or equivalent experience
