How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

OTE UP TO £40,000 | HYBRID — SHEFFIELD | HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT

    THE OPPORTUNITY

Fairmont Crest Executive Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing provider of on-demand and short-term healthcare workforce solutions. This is a newly created, commercially focused role for a driven Business Development Manager who is ready to make a real impact in the healthcare staffing sector.

At the heart of this business is an innovative online platform that connects qualified care workers directly with care homes and care providers — simplifying the process of sourcing agency staff at short notice and giving employers the flexibility they need to maintain safe, high-quality care.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the primary driver of new business growth, taking ownership of the full sales cycle from prospecting through to account management. You will draw on your existing network of contacts across the health and social care sector to build strong, lasting commercial relationships.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    * Proactively engaging with care homes, residential providers, domiciliary care operators and care commissioning bodies to generate new business

    * Promoting the company's online portal as a modern, efficient solution for sourcing agency healthcare workers at pace

    * Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients, converting leads into long-term, high-value accounts

    * Developing and nurturing relationships with decision-makers at all levels within care sector organisations

    * Collaborating with internal operations and compliance teams to ensure client needs are met in line with regulatory standards

    * Attending client sites when required, representing the business professionally and furthering commercial partnerships

    * Providing regular reporting on business development activity, pipeline value and conversion metrics to the Managing Director

    * Staying abreast of trends in healthcare staffing, workforce regulation and care sector commissioning

    ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

    * Proven business development experience within the healthcare recruitment or healthcare staffing sector — this is essential

    * An established network of contacts across care homes, care providers, domiciliary care or healthcare commissioning — this is a critical differentiator

    * A track record of meeting and exceeding commercial targets in a recruitment or staffing environment

    * Confidence in a consultative sales approach — able to listen, identify need and present tailored workforce solutions

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the presence to engage at director and board level

    * Self-motivation and resilience — you are comfortable working autonomously and managing your own diary to maximise productivity

    * Familiarity with technology-enabled staffing solutions, portals or online marketplaces is advantageous

    * A professional, client-facing manner with the commercial acumen to identify and capitalise on market opportunities

    REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

We offer a compelling package designed to reward high performance:

    * Competitive basic salary with an OTE of up to £40,000pa inclusive of a generous commission structure (pro-rata)

    * Hybrid working model, with flexibility to work from home alongside attendance at our Sheffield city centre office

    * Free city centre car parking when working from the Sheffield office

    * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays — giving you 20 days of your own to plan as you choose

    * Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses when visiting clients or attending external meetings

    * Direct reporting line to the Managing Director — your contributions will be seen, valued and recognised

    * The opportunity to be part of a growing business at an exciting stage of its development
