A well-established and highly regarded further education college in Gloucestershire is looking to appoint an Engineering Lecturer to deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching across Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Engineering subjects from Level 2 through to Level 6.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering department that works closely with employers and apprentices, helping shape the next generation of engineering professionals. Teaching will span both full-time learners and apprenticeships across a variety of engineering pathways.
The college delivers qualifications through awarding bodies including Pearson, City & Guilds, and EAL, offering a varied and rewarding teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Engineering units across Levels 2–6
Teach across a range of engineering disciplines in both workshop and classroom settings
Support both full-time learners and apprentices
Develop engaging lesson plans and learning materials
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and industry partners
Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment Who we are looking for:
You will need:

Minimum HND qualification in Engineering
GCSE Maths and English
Relevant industry experience within engineering
Strong communication and organisational skills
Passion for developing future engineering talent It would also be helpful to have:

Previous teaching experience with apprentices and full-time students
Assessor Award
PGCE, DTLLS, Certificate in Education, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification What’s on offer?
