My Client are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to take full control of a major residential groundworks package starting March 2026, for a 10-month contract.
This is a No.1 on site position, responsible for the successful delivery of groundworks and civils on a large-scale housing development.
THE PROJECT
•Residential development of approximately 120 housing units
•Full groundworks and civils package
•Piled foundations and precast ring beams
•Roads and sewers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Acting as Number 1 on site, overseeing daily site operations
•Managing all groundworks and civils activities
•Coordination of piled foundations and precast ring beam installation
•Managing roads and sewers packages
•Ordering materials and maintaining a materials tracker
•Managing and tracking RFIs
•Leading and managing a site team of around 12 personnel, including a Site Engineer
•Client liaison, attending and leading client meetings
•Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to quality standards
•Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
•Reporting progress and issues to senior stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
•Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on residential groundworks projects
•Strong background in civils, piling, and infrastructure works
•Experience operating as No.1 on site
•Confident managing site teams and subcontractors
•Strong client-facing and communication skills
•SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) required
•First Aid certification required
