Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a two-day contract over the weekend. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery.

Job Specification:

* Assemble and install mechanical components, machinery, and equipment

* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

* Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems

* Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently

* Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

* Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and company procedures

* Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines

* Conduct testing and commissioning of equipment where required

Personal Specifications:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

* Experience with mechanical assembly and maintenance

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* NVQ/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

* Rate negotiable depending on experience
