Trainee Field Service Engineer

Our client is seeking a Trainee Field Service Engineer to join their established team permanently, covering the Northeast region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone technically minded who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving and working independently, and is looking to develop a long-term career within field service engineering.

Full specialist product training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone with transferable mechanical or electrical experience looking to progress into a field-based (Northeast only) engineering role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Service, maintain and repair industrial/commercial equipment across customer sites
• Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults effectively
• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service on-site
• Complete service documentation and reports accurately

What we’re looking for:

• Practical mechanical or electrical experience
• Hands-on engineering mindset with good problem-solving ability
• Any field service, maintenance, installation or mechanical fitting experience would be advantageous
• Electrical fault finding knowledge beneficial but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working independently and travelling locally
• Full UK driving licence essential
