How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The role
    As Junior Strategist, you'll work with the rest of the strategy team to develop and deliver marketing and campaigns for AFRS. You'll commit to immersing yourself in the worlds of our client and their target audience – whether its marketing for the Armed Forces or narrowing in on a specific role for the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force.
    As Junior Strategist, you'll be curious, proactive, collaborative and analytically minded. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real insight into all aspects of marketing – from media channels to creative campaign development to research. You will support teams across the business, ensuring that our strategic approach is followed through. Plus, you'll strengthen your networking skills through building partnerships with AFRS and their partners.
    You'll support the strategy team by becoming the voice of the consumer, through ongoing desk-based research and insight gathering on how the landscape is changing. This will include reading up on relevant internal, economic, technological, environmental and societal changes or news that could impact the performance and impact of our marketing. You'll present your findings back to internal and clients so that they're up to date. This will help to enhance creative and strategic direction across all our marketing disciplines.
    Who we're looking for
    To excel here, you'll bring a curious mindset, particularly about human behaviour. You're an excellent communicator, skilled at storytelling, building presentations and supporting materials for clients. With support from a Strategist or Strategy Director, you're able to provide strategic consultancy to clients.
    You already have a strong understanding of content marketing, which you're keen to build on. You've got a proven ability track data, as well as to turn it into actionable insights. Plus, you're a problem-solver who can prioritise projects effectively.
    With your structured approach, you can be relied on to be organised and well-planned. And you're adaptable – responding to other people's feedback and building on their ideas.
    We want you to be ready to collaborate with, inspire and contribute effectively to TMP268's culture. We're an agency that wants our clients to succeed, through outthinking and challenging conventional approaches.
    It would be beneficial if you've had one to two years of experience a strategy, planning, insight, research or digital marketing role. This has given you a comfortability working across channels (especially social and digital). It would be a plus if you have basic experience with analytics tools (e.g. GA4, social platform insights, or similar). Any other relevant experience – like contributing insight to a creative brief – we'd be happy to hear about too.
