A growing manufacturing business in Leicestershire is looking for an experienced Assembly Manager / Production Manager to lead assembly and production operations within a bespoke turnkey engineering environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on improving productivity, quality, team performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
The Role
You will oversee daily assembly and production activities, ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are achieved while leading and developing a skilled manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
Managing day-to-day assembly and production operations
Leading, training, and developing production staff
Monitoring workflow, productivity, and manufacturing performance
Driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
Ensuring quality standards, SOPs, and health & safety procedures are followed
Supporting stock control and production planning activities
Using ERP/MRP systems to support production and traceability
Analysing production data and reporting performance metrics
About You
You may currently work as a:
Assembly Manager
Production Manager
Manufacturing Manager
Production Supervisor
Manufacturing Team Leader
You should have:
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, assembly, or production environments
Strong leadership and people management skills
Experience improving manufacturing processes and performance
ERP/MRP system knowledge
Good communication and organisational skills
Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience
