How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    I am seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading torque and tooling solutions provider, Gedore Torque, to support their North East region. This role is ideal for someone who excels in B2B sales, solution selling, and building long-term customer relationships across North East England.

    Home Based, Field Based in North East England 

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage and grow sales within the North East region through a mix of account development and new business generation.
    Identify customer needs and propose tailored solutions for torque tools, bolting systems, and industrial equipment.
    Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts across multiple industries.
    Work collaboratively with internal departments including marketing, customer service, and engineering.
    Use CRM to track opportunities, customer activity, and sales pipeline.
    Represent Gedore Torque at trade shows, customer visits, and regional industry events.

    Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

    Proven experience in a technical B2B sales role, ideally in engineering, tooling, or manufacturing sectors.
    Strong communication and negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach.
    Ability to work independently and travel across South West England 
    Comfortable interpreting technical specifications and customer requirements.
    Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
    Full UK driving licence essential.
