How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer specialising in high-quality engineered security and access control solutions. This is a full-time, site-based role offering the opportunity to work within a fast-paced production environment focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

    The Role

    The Production Engineer will play a key role in supporting and improving manufacturing operations. Responsibilities will include overseeing production processes, developing efficient workflows, monitoring quality standards, and supporting production planning activities. The successful candidate will analyse production data, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee and support daily production activities
    Develop and improve manufacturing workflows and processes
    Analyse production performance and identify efficiency improvements
    Support production planning and scheduling activities
    Ensure quality standards and operational procedures are maintained
    Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams
    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business

    Requirements

    Experience in Production Engineering and production planning
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing standards
    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    Degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred
    Experience within manufacturing or engineered products environments advantageous
