How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: UK (Hybrid – Leeds or London preferred) + UK & EMEA travel
    Reporting to: Managing Director

    A rapidly growing speciality chemicals distributor operating at the intersection of global supply chains and technical markets. The business acts as a commercial and technical bridge between international manufacturers and customers across Europe and beyond.

    * UV-curing materials (including photoinitiators)

    * Expansion into nutraceutical, food, and speciality ingredient markets

    * High technical credibility combined with lean, fast-moving commercial execution

    The Opportunity

    This is a newly created role within a growing business unit focused on speciality raw materials used across food, animal feed, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical applications.

    You will take ownership of driving commercial growth across the UK and EMEA, developing key customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.

    The role combines technical understanding, business development, and strategic account management within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Drive business development across speciality raw materials markets

    * Identify, develop, and convert new commercial opportunities across UK & EMEA

    * Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships

    * Conduct market analysis and identify emerging growth opportunities

    * Support pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and commercial execution

    * Deliver technical presentations in collaboration with internal teams

    * Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings

    * Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasting

    * Work closely with technical, supply chain, and R&D teams

    * Continuously improve sales processes and commercial efficiency

    Essential Requirements

    * 3+ years’ experience in food, nutraceutical, or ingredient-based markets

    * Background in B2B technical sales within speciality chemicals or related industries

    * Strong understanding of raw materials and ingredient applications

    * Chemistry or related scientific/technical degree preferred

    * Proven ability in account management, business development, or technical sales

    * Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

    * Experience working independently in a remote or hybrid structure

    * Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel UK & EMEA

    Desirable

    * Experience in UV-curing, coatings, adhesives, or speciality chemical markets

    * Exposure to nutraceuticals, food ingredients, or life sciences sectors

    * Management training or leadership experience
