How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are supporting a nationally significant energy infrastructure programme at the forefront of the UK’s transition to net zero. This multi-billion-pound development is focused on decarbonising key industrial regions through large-scale carbon capture, hydrogen, and low-carbon power generation projects.

    The wider programme includes:

Development of carbon capture and storage (CCS) infrastructure capable of transporting and storing significant volumes of CO₂ annually.
Delivery of low-carbon power generation facilities designed to supply electricity to over one million homes.
Creation of hydrogen infrastructure supporting the growth of the UK hydrogen economy.
Offshore CO₂ transportation and storage systems in the North Sea.
Major onshore pipeline and high-voltage power infrastructure works.
The programme represents one of the UK’s most ambitious industrial decarbonisation initiatives and will play a key role in supporting long-term economic growth and sustainable energy production.

This position is critical to ensuring all project activities within the EPCm environment comply with contractual, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing, non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Audit Execution

Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and quality management systems.

    Contractual Compliance

Interpret and assess project-specific quality requirements and ensure alignment across all project phases.

    Documentation Review

Review and verify quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and supplier quality records.

    Root Cause Analysis

Lead structured investigations into quality issues using systematic, evidence-based methodologies focused on prevention and continuous improvement.

    Non-Conformance Management

Identify, document, and track non-conformances while leading corrective and preventive action processes.

    Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and supplier teams to ensure quality expectations are understood and achieved.

    Reporting

Prepare audit reports, quality metrics, dashboards, and client-facing quality documentation.

    Continuous Improvement

Recommend and implement improvements to quality systems and processes based on audit findings and industry best practice.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    Essential

HNC or equivalent qualification in Quality Management or a relevant technical discipline.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance within EPCm project environments.
Strong technical knowledge of pipeline construction and associated welding standards such as BS 4515 and/or API 1104.
Professional knowledge of ISO 9001 and related quality standards.
Experience with quality auditing techniques and ISO 19011.
Familiarity with engineering and procurement documentation and workflows.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    Lead Auditor certification.
Experience supporting projects through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
    Desirable

Membership of CQI or similar professional body.
Experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or major infrastructure sectors.
Previous experience as a senior pipeline inspector or engineer.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Proficiency with quality management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience implementing and monitoring Right First Time (RFT/R1T) processes.
Experience in Self-Verification & Oversight (SV&O) activities across site and offsite works
