How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    London, Kent & Sussex Teamforce Labour are currently recruiting experienced and dependable Strapping Teams for upcoming Rail Safety Critical works across London, Kent and Sussex.

    Teamforce are recruiting for the shifts below in week 9, from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st May, across London, Kent and Sussex.
    These positions will involve working on planned rail possessions and infrastructure projects, supporting track operations and ensuring all strapping activities are carried out safely and efficiently within live railway environments.

    Position: Strapping Teams
    Locations: London, Kent & Sussex
    Shift Patterns: Singles, Doubles & Triple Shifts Available
    Dates: Friday 29th May – Sunday 31st May
    Shifts: Days, Nights & Weekend Possessions
    Duration: Week 9 Possession Works
    Rates: Competitive rates availableRole & Responsibilities
    Carry out rail strapping duties safely and in line with Network Rail procedures
    Install and remove track circuit straps as required during possessions
    Work closely with COSS teams, Engineering Supervisors, and rail management
    Ensure all works are completed safely within planned possession times
    Follow all site safety briefings and operational instructions
    Maintain high safety standards within live rail environments
    Report any issues, defects, or safety concerns immediately
    Support the efficient delivery of rail infrastructure worksRequirements
    Valid Sentinel Card with relevant competencies
    In-date PTS certification
    Previous experience carrying out rail strapping duties
    Good understanding of Rail Safety Critical procedures and possession of working knowledge
    Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
    Strong awareness of rail site safety and communication protocols
