How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading industrial operation within the energy and infrastructure sector. Based at a high performing Energy from Waste facility, the role of an Electrical Engineer will focus on maintaining the integrity, performance, and reliability of critical electrical systems while supporting engineering projects, plant optimisation, and operational continuity.

The successful Electrical Engineer will be a technically capable and safety conscious professional with strong experience in industrial electrical environments and a proactive approach to maintenance and project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects from planning through to installation, commissioning, and final handover.

    * Oversee the performance, maintenance, and compliance of site electrical systems, including high voltage infrastructure and associated equipment.

    * Support plant reliability through planned maintenance strategies, technical fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Manage contractors and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.

    * Contribute to operational leadership by providing technical guidance, supporting outages, and deputising for senior maintenance personnel when required.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Demonstrated electrical engineering experience within heavy industry sectors such as power generation, waste to energy, manufacturing, cement, paper, or similar process driven environments.

    * Strong technical expertise in high voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution networks.

    * Proven experience managing engineering or maintenance related projects, with knowledge of planned maintenance systems and asset management tools.

    * Familiarity with fault finding, root cause analysis, preventative maintenance methodologies, and industrial automation systems such as PLCs, DCS, or instrumentation.

    * Relevant engineering qualification, with additional health and safety certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH considered advantageous, alongside strong organisational and communication skills.

    What’s on Offer

    * Competitive salary package ranging from £45,000 to £66,000, dependent on experience.

    * Full time position (40 hours per week) at a well established industrial facility in Kent

    * Comprehensive benefits package including pension contributions, life assurance, bonus potential, and employee wellbeing support.

    * Ongoing professional development, technical training, and opportunities for long term career progression within a skilled engineering environment.

    * Access to flexible employee benefits, discounts, and initiatives that support health, wellbeing, and work life balance.

If you are an experienced Electrical Engineer seeking an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a technically advanced industrial environment, we would like to hear from you
