Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Depot Supervisor on behalf of a local authority client based in Rugby.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor with experience in waste management, street cleansing, or environmental services to join a busy operational team.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services
Ensuring services are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget
Organising and conducting scheduled monitoring of staff to ensure compliance
Responding to and resolving customer complaints in line with council procedures
Liaising with councillors, officers, and internal departments to maintain service standards
Communicating professionally with members of the public and promoting a positive council image
Monitoring operational costs and supporting purchasing activities
Ensuring vehicles and equipment are used and maintained correctly
Producing accurate operational and performance reports
Monitoring work quality, team performance, and overseeing agency staff usageRequirements
Proven experience supervising operational teams within waste management, street cleansing, or a similar environment
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and operational best practice
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Ability to manage workloads and resolve issues effectively
Full UK driving license required
