How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HYGIENE ASSISTANT MANAGER

    Job Title: Hygiene Assistant Manager

    Location: Slough

    Salary: £40,000 - £42,000

    Shift: 45 Hours per Week – Days Worked Between Monday to Saturday

    Job Role of the Hygiene Assistant Manager

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Assistant Manager to join a busy and fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site. This role is ideal for a strong hygiene professional who enjoys leading teams, driving standards, and continuously improving hygiene systems within a highly regulated production environment.

    You will play a key role in supporting the Hygiene Manager and wider site teams to ensure hygiene standards, GMP compliance, and audit readiness are maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will also support the development of hygiene supervisors and operatives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

    Sector – FMCG / Food Manufacturing

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Hygiene Assistant Manager

    · Previous experience within a hygiene role in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.

    · Experience supervising or leading hygiene teams within a manufacturing environment.

    · Hands-on experience preparing for and supporting external audits including BRC.

    Requirements for the Hygiene Assistant Manager

    · Strong understanding of hygiene standards, GMP, and factory compliance.

    · HACCP Level 3 qualification.

    · Experience managing hygiene schedules, procedures, and validation processes.

    · Good understanding of allergen management and hygiene risk assessments.

    · Strong communication and leadership skills.

    · Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and documentation creation.

    Desirable Requirements for the Hygiene Assistant Manager

    · Internal auditing experience.

    · Knowledge of pest management systems.

    · Experience coaching and developing teams.

    · Experience working with KPI reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
