How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    FLT OPERATIVE REQUIRED WITH A BACKGROUND IN A HANDS-ON ROLE IN WASTE MANAGEMENT, RECYCLING, CONSTRUCTION, FARMING WORK OR SIMILAR REQUIRED
    TITLE: FLT Operative / Labourer – Recycling Yard / Depot
    SALARY: £29,500 with bonus
    HOURS: 7.30am-5pm Mon to Fri, 30 mins lunch and 2 x 15 mins breaks
    LOCATION: Atherton
    YOU WILL HAVE WORKED A MANUAL ROLE AS A: Scrap Metal Recycling Operative, Yard Labourer, Waste Site Operative, Skip Hire Site Labourer, Farming, Agriculture, Industrial Services Operative, Building Site Labourer, Picker, Packer, Production Operative, Highways Maintenance Operative, Grounds Maintenance Operative,
    ROLE: FLT Operative / Labourer – Recycling Yard / Depot
    In this role you will work in a busy recycling yard operating an FLT truck, skid steer and material handler
    Experience working with metals, engineering materials or heavy goods.
    Forklift experience or a current forklift certificate.
    You will adhere to health and safety policy
    EXPERIENCE: FLT Operative / Labourer – Site operations
    You may have an FLT Licence or in house training certificate
    You will be a maximum of 30 minutes commute from the site by bike, bus or car
