We are recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Pontefract, supporting pupils who require consistent, nurturing and highly individualised support to thrive.

🌟 About the Role

You will be working within mainstream and specialist primary settings, supporting children with a range of complex needs. Your responsibilities may include:

1:1 and small‑group support - helping pupils access learning at their own pace
Supporting communication, sensory and emotional needs
Using positive behaviour strategies to support pupils with challenging behaviour
Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
Supporting personal care routines, where required🌟 Who We're Looking For

Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar)
A calm, patient and proactive approach
Strong behaviour‑support skills
Someone who can build trusting, secure relationships with pupils
