How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 Provision - Newham - £95 to £120 Daily Rate - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A full-time opportunity has become available for a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision within a supportive primary school in Newham. This long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of £95 to £120, depending on experience.

Do you have experience supporting children with Autism within a primary school setting?
Are you confident working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have additional needs?
Can you build strong, trusting relationships that support children's learning and emotional development?

If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working within a KS1 provision supporting a pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis. The key focus of this role is building a positive and consistent relationship with the child, helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged throughout the school day.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to deliver tailored strategies and interventions that meet the pupil's individual needs. The role will involve supporting communication, managing behaviour positively, encouraging social interaction, and helping the pupil access learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills are essential for this role, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

    The School - Newham
This inclusive and well-resourced primary school is a two-form entry school with approximately 440 pupils on roll and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school has a strong reputation for supporting pupils with SEND and provides a nurturing and welcoming environment for both staff and pupils. Leadership is highly supportive, and there are excellent opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
