Engineering and Workshop Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our client’s Lincoln-based metal fabrication company. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.

The company specialises in bespoke steel, aluminium, and stainless-steel fabrication, delivering everything from architectural metalwork and staircases to large structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Welding and fabrication work

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Producing quotes, estimates, and invoices

* Supporting and leading workshop staff

* Using SolidWorks or AutoCAD for design/drafting

* Maintaining workshop organisation, safety, and efficiency

* Building strong customer relationships

* General administration and data entry

About You

* Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience

* Skilled welder/fabricator with workshop experience

* Previous management or leadership experience

* Confident with technical drawings and customer communication

* Competent using SolidWorks or AutoCAD

* Experience using MieTrak or other ERP software would be preferred

* Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented

What’s on Offer

* Salary: £35,000–£40,000 DOE

* Monday–Friday, typically 8:00–17:00
