How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD Support - Barnet
    Full Time | Term Time Only | Immediate Start
    Up to £115 per day | Long Term Role

    Long Term Futures are recruiting a resilient and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Barnet, supporting a Lower KS2 pupil with Autism (ASD).

    This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone experienced in supporting children with additional needs, particularly pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a calm, patient and consistent individual who can build a strong relationship with the child and provide structured support throughout the school day.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Lower KS2 pupil with ASD
    Support the pupil with learning, emotional regulation and engagement
    Implement behaviour support strategies and structured routines
    Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
    Support the child during lessons, transitions and unstructured times
    Promote positive behaviour, safety and inclusion
    Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour
    A resilient, calm and consistent approach
    Confidence working within a specialist SEN school environment
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
    Restraint training or de-escalation training (desirable)
    Location & Transport - Barnet, North London
