Management Accountant
We’re working with a well-established business looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Management Accountant.   This is a broad, hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts, while also getting involved in group reporting, analysis, and process improvements. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys understanding how a business operates and adding real value beyond the numbers.
The role
You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting decision-making across the business and working closely with the Financial Controller.

Producing monthly management accounts from trial balance through to final review
Delivering clear and insightful variance analysis
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls
Leading the monthly group reporting process and meeting deadlines
Supporting operational teams with cost analysis and KPI reporting
Owning stock accounting processes
Managing cash and bank reconciliations and improving processes where possible
Supporting cashflow forecasting and providing commercial insight
Preparing quarterly VAT returns
Assisting with audit and statutory accountsAbout you
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Experience producing management accounts in a similar role
Good grounding in financial controls and processes
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Confidence working with stakeholders across the businessThis is role is based on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. They have hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home)
