How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We’re excited to be supporting a newly established, regeneration-focused Construction Consultancy in Manchester as they continue to grow. We’re looking for a talented Project Manager to join their expanding team.

This is a dynamic business with an excellent culture, sustainable growth plans, cutting-edge systems and software and a genuinely flexible working policy. It’s an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy at an early stage of their journey.

    Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will support the delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of client satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead or support the delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 1-6, from inception to completion.

    * Define project scopes, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.

    * Manage multiple projects and moving parts simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

    * Coordinate design teams, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers effectively.

    * Prepare and maintain project programmes, reports, and documentation.

    * Monitor project progress, budgets, and risk registers.

    * Ensure compliance with quality standards, procurement protocols, and governance frameworks (e.g., NEC, JCT).

    * Guide project team members to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and guidelines.

    * Conduct lessons-learned reviews and implement improvements across current and future projects.

    * Identify, monitor, and report on project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    * Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact.

    * Mentor and support junior colleagues in project delivery and development.

    * Promote and enforce Health & Safety best practice, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.

    * Contribute to business development initiatives and support client relationship growth.

    About You

    * A solid background in Project Management within a consultancy environment.

    * Experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle across one or more sectors.

    * Confident working with stakeholders at all levels.

    * Strong organisational and communication skills, with confidence in a client-facing environment.

    * Able to manage multiple moving parts without breaking a sweat.

    * Working towards, or ideally holding, professional accreditation (APM, MRICS, MAPM, CIOB, or equivalent).

    * Experience across RIBA Stages 1-6.

    * Knowledge of internal project management systems and processes.

    * Understanding of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety best practices.

    * Proactive, collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
