How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Exposure to diverse package types including civils, MEP, new build and refurbishment

    * A rare opportunity to build a standout project on your CV

    Key Responsibilities

    As a Quantity Surveyor on this flagship programme, you will:

    * Manage full cost planning, estimation and budget setting across multiple building packages

    * Prepare tender documentation, manage procurement and analyse contractor bids

    * Administer NEC3/4 contracts including early warnings, compensation events and change control

    * Produce valuations, interim payments, cost reports and final accounts

    * Undertake risk management, forecasting and value engineering

    * Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project and client teams

    * Monitor contractor performance, variations and financial progress

    * Work collaboratively with Project Managers, design teams, and public sector stakeholders

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    You’ll be a great fit if you have:

    * 5+ years’ post-grad Quantity Surveying experience within construction or infrastructure

    * Strong NEC3/4 contract experience (essential)

    * Experience working on multi-building, complex or public sector projects

    * Confident, client-facing communication skills

    * Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams

    * Professional qualification or progression toward MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent

    What’s On Offer

    * Competitive salary + car allowance

    * Hybrid working opportunities

    * Pension, private healthcare and comprehensive benefits

    * Clear career progression within a growing, respected consultancy

    * Exposure to one of the UK’s most high-profile public sector programmes

    * Supportive, collaborative working environment
