How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A respected, employee-owned construction and property consultancy in London is seeking an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding cost management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public sector developments while working alongside highly experienced professionals. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be part of a consultancy known for delivering technically complex projects with a strong emphasis on collaboration and professional development. This Graduate Quantity Surveyor role offers structured mentoring, hands-on project involvement, and clear APC support from day one. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will work closely with senior surveyors and project teams, gaining practical experience across every stage of project delivery.     The Graduate Quantity Surveyor's role

    The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial delivery of projects across both pre- and post-contract stages. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will assist with cost planning, tender analysis, procurement, valuations, and financial reporting while developing a strong understanding of project delivery. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will attend client and project meetings, working alongside experienced consultants across a wide range of sectors. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will also assist with contract administration duties and contribute to maintaining project budgets and programme objectives.

    The ideal Graduate Quantity Surveyor will have recently completed a RICS accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. A Graduate Quantity Surveyor should demonstrate strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in the built environment. Any placement or internship experience within construction or consultancy would be advantageous for this Graduate Quantity Surveyor role. The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will be motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to progress towards MRICS chartership.
