How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    £70,000 – £80,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Bonus
    Full-time | Permanent

Adult & Paediatric Complex Care | Strategic leadership | National provider

We are recruiting a Head of Business Development to join one of the UK’s leading nurse-led complex care providers delivering adult and paediatric complex care services across London and the South of England.

This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on driving growth across community complex care and physical disability services while leading and developing a team of Business Development Managers.

Candidates must come from a large complex care provider background with strong experience across adult and paediatric complex care packages.
Backgrounds focused purely on domiciliary care or supported living will not be suitable.

    The Role

As Head of Business Development, you will lead growth strategy across complex care services while overseeing the full referral and mobilisation pipeline from enquiry through to go-live.
You will work closely with operational and clinical leadership teams to ensure packages are commercially viable, safely mobilised and operationally sustainable.
You will also lead and develop a team of BDMs, driving performance, accountability, pipeline conversion and long-term strategic growth.
    Key Responsibilities

Drive growth across adult and paediatric complex care services.
Lead and develop a team of Business Development Managers.
Build relationships with ICBs, CHC teams, case managers and hospital discharge teams.
Lead tenders, pricing negotiations and contract discussions.
Oversee referral assessment, package viability and mobilisation.
Drive team performance and pipeline conversion.
Support wider growth strategy and operational direction.

    Requirements

Proven experience within a Head of Business Development or senior Business Development leadership role within a large complex care provider.
Strong adult and paediatric complex care background.
Experience managing high-acuity physical disability packages within the community.
Previous experience managing and developing BDM teams.
Strong understanding of NHS, CHC, ICB and case management referral pathways.
Demonstrated success growing complex care hours and securing new packages.
Strong commercial, operational and strategic leadership skills.
    Full UK driving licence.
    Package & Benefits

    £70,000 – £80,000 salary
    £5,000 car allowance
    Performance bonus
    Hybrid working model.
    South London office base.
Senior leadership opportunity within a highly established provider.
    Long-term progression opportunities.
