How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Us
    We are a friendly and caring residential/nursing home dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care for our residents. We are looking for a warm, organised, and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our home.
    The Role
    As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, relatives, and external professionals. You will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming environment while supporting the smooth running of the home’s administration.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Greet and welcome visitors, residents, and relatives in a friendly and professional manner
    * Conduct tours of the home for prospective residents and their families.
    * Manage admission and discharge notifications.
    * Assist with preparing contracts and coordinating resident admissions.
    * Liaise effectively with external professionals and stakeholders.
    * Coordinate podiatry and hairdressing visits for residents.
    * Answer and direct phone calls and emails promptly.
    * Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
    * Maintain visitor logs and ensure sign-in procedures are followed.
    * Support the management team with administrative tasks.
    * Assist with maintaining staff and resident records.
    * Order office supplies and support general office organisation.
    * Help coordinate meetings and appointments.
    * Ensure reception and waiting areas are tidy and welcoming.
    Requirements
    * Highly organised with good attention to detail
    * Confident using Microsoft Office and email systems
    * Able to multitask and prioritise workload
    * A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
    * Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality
    * Previous receptionist, front-of-house, or admin experience
    * Experience in a care home, healthcare, or customer-facing environment (preferred but not essential)
