How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Role: Fabrication Design Engineer
    Location: Bradford
    Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + benefits (Contract also considered for the right candidate.)

    About the Role:

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabrication Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Bradford. Working across a range of water projects, you will be responsible for producing fabrication designs for an in-house fabrication shop specialising in galvanised mild steel (GMS), stainless steel pipework, access fabrications and associated ancillaries.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced design professional looking to work on varied projects within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Producing detailed fabrication designs for GMS and stainless steel pipework systems
    Designing permanent access fabrications and associated ancillaries
    Supporting a range of water industry projects
    Working closely with in-house fabricators and site installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
    Producing pipework layouts, support designs and fabrication drawings
    Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards including WIMES 9.02

    About you:

    Experience using Autodesk Inventor is essential
    SolidWorks experience would be advantageous
    Strong knowledge of pipework, fittings and associated support design
    Understanding of WIMES 9.02 for Permanent Access Fabrications
    Previous experience working closely with fabrication shops and site installers
    Background within the water industry or similar engineering sectors preferred
    Strong communication and problem-solving skills
