TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Bristol that is looking to appoint an English Teacher for a September start. The school is known for its supportive Senior Leadership Team, strong academic focus, and commitment to helping students achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated English Teacher on a permanent full-time basis. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on GCSE preparation and attainment. The successful English Teacher will be expected to maintain high classroom standards and support students to achieve excellent outcomes.
The successful English Teacher will have:
• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Proven experience supporting students with GCSE preparation and exam readiness
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
