How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    3 vacancies available for *female Support Workers in Northamptonshire, NN6, to support a warm and engaging gentleman living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Up to £21.00 gross per hour.
    Hourly Rates: Day Support Worker: Monday to Friday: £17.00 gross per hour (£19.00 after probation) Saturday: £18.00 gross per hour (£20.00 after probation) Sunday: £19.00 gross per hour (£21.00 after probation)
    Night Support Worker Rates: Monday to Friday: £18.00 gross per hour (£20.00 after probation) Saturday & Sunday: £19.00 gross per hour (£21.00 after probation)
    Driving: Essential – own car required to travel to client’s home. Car available to use on duty
    Essential: Experience supporting a person with a disability and working under the direction of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). A calm, non-directive approach that promotes independence and rehabilitation. Waking Night experience where applicable. *This role is open to female applicants only.
    Highly Desirable: Experience supporting a client with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Health & social care qualification.

    About the Client: Steve is a warm, sociable and humorous gentleman living with an Acquired Brain Injury following a road traffic collision. He enjoys sport, golf, dominoes, backgammon, walks, café trips and supporting Leeds United. Steve uses a walking frame indoors and a wheelchair for longer outings. He lives with his wife and adult children in a welcoming family home. Steve follows a structured rehabilitation programme designed by his MDT, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. He requires support that balances therapy, rest and meaningful activities, while maintaining his dignity, independence and routine.
    The Role: You will support Steve as part of a dedicated team, using calm prompts and visual cues to assist with daily routines, mobility, personal care and rehabilitation goals. The role requires excellent communication, consistency and the ability to follow detailed MDT guidance. Steve benefits from support workers who are patient, observant and engaging, while understanding the importance of pacing interaction to avoid overstimulation and fatigue. The night role involves providing calm, attentive overnight support, including monitoring well-being, continence care, mobility assistance, comfort, observations, and administering prescribed medication.
    Available Vacancies:
    Vacancy 1 – Day Support Worker: Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 am–7:00 pm (occasionally extending to 11-hour shifts).
    Vacancy 2 – Waking Night Support Worker: Two waking night shifts per week (8:00 pm–9:00 am, 13 hours each; 26 hours weekly) on a two-week rota, with shifts either Tuesday/Wednesday/Sunday in Week 1 and Monday/Friday/Saturday in Week 2, as mutually agreed.
    Vacancy 3 – Full-Time Support Worker
    31 hours per week on an 8-week rolling rota, working a mix of 7:30 am–8:30 pm and 10:00 am–7:00 pm shifts, including alternate weekends.
    All roles require flexibility to cover occasional sickness and annual leave.
