How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Engineering Manager – Electrical

    Liverpool | Up to £70,000 + On-Call Allowance + AP Bonus

    Looking for an opportunity where your electrical expertise genuinely makes a difference? Insight Executive is recruiting for an Engineering Manager – Electrical to lead engineering operations on a major healthcare site in Liverpool.

    This is a critical role where reliability, compliance, and performance directly support patient care in a fast-paced acute hospital environment.

    You’ll be based onsite, five days per week, leading a team of seven engineering professionals, including a1 Supervisor and six Electrical Engineers, ensuring electrical systems are maintained to the highest standards while driving operational excellence across the site.

    What’s in it for you?

    * Salary up to £70,000

    * Additional £2,750 for AP (Low Voltage and/or High Voltage) qualifications

    * On-call allowance up to £2,000 per year (1 in 5 weekend rota)

    We’re looking for someone with:

    * Healthcare engineering experience within an Acute Hospital environment (essential)

    * Strong electrical engineering leadership experience

    * AP (LV and/or HV) qualifications would be highly desirable

    * Experience leading teams and managing operational performance in a critical environment

    * Comfortable working on site five days a week in a hospital environment
