We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufactuing Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing and finishing components to a high standard, ensuring parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements before progressing through production.
The successful candidate will have experience working with engineered components and be confident using a range of hand tools, measuring equipment, and finishing techniques within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out finishing and preparation work on machined metal components
* Remove excess material, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using hand and power tools
* Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
* Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
* Use measuring equipment
* Work closely with machining and quality teams to maintain production standards
* Ensure all work is completed within required timescales
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Follow all health & safety and company quality procedures
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience within a manufacturing, finishing, or component preparation role
* Experience working within engineering or precision manufacturing environments
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
