Salary: £34,000 – £37,500 per annum (depending on experience)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Dunstable.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has progressed from a hands-on Production Operative role into production leadership and management. We are looking for a confident individual with a strong personality who can lead from the front, motivate teams, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the glass manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous.
Working Hours
Initially, this role will be working 4 days per week:
* Monday to Thursday
* 06:00 – 16:30
* or
* 07:00 – 17:30
There is potential for the role to move to a 5-day working week in the future:
* Monday to Friday
* 07:30 – 16:00
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality targets are achieved
* Lead, manage, and motivate production teams
* Monitor productivity, performance, and workflow
* Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
* Manage staffing levels, training, and team development
* Work closely with senior management to meet operational objectives
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
* Experience progressing from Production Operative level into a supervisory or management role
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
* Confident communicator with a proactive and resilient approach
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Glass manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
